Sonic Generations IS a very fun game to play even if it's not as good a game as I'd originally hoped for. It's still a fun game with both modern and classic Sonic running through previous game levels to save the world. But I didn't find out how great the game was from this PC version. Because the PC version requires internet access!
You need a Steam account to activate the game which wasn't made clear anywhere on Amazon when I originally bought this game near release day. If you DOn't have internet access or don't want to install steam to play this game then there IS a way though to play the game without needing the internet I'm lucky to own a PS3 PlayStation 3 so was able to buy the ps3 version of this game which required zero access to the internet.
My game is on console and is completely offline so if you're a desperate Sonic fan and want to get your hands on this sonic generations download ps4 then get the console version or even buy a console if you can afford it. When the game came out, considering it was an anniversary special game, I expected it to be a game where all the Sonic characters could go back in time to old games but instead it's only Sonic who can and I also sonic generations download ps4 that the Classic stages would look like the real classic stages of Sonic in the days of the Mega Drive.
It's a shame because when I read about this game it sounded like an epic game but the Classic sonic stages are all very 3D looking and play virtually the same as the Modern stages when Sonic jumps to 2D mode which seems to be a new thing he does in all games these days.

The nine stages are separated into three lots of 3 games.
Each set of three games is based on a different era in the Sonic games history. There is a boss level to play too, a certain Robotnik end of game boss from the original Sonic 2. Both modern and classic stages are fun to play through and they do change the modern stages a fair bit but sonic generations download ps4 you've recently played the games then it does feel a bit too familiar which is why I would have liked more concentration on the older classic games.
The boss at the end is the final boss of Sonic Adventure. Again these games are different to the original and it's nice to see classic sonic have 2D stages of these, but it's too similar for my liking to the modern games and it feels like the developers got away with copying some of the later games and just changing things instead or creating an original anniversary Sonic game.

I do like the gameplay overall, I don't think there's a Sonic game I have disliked yet I'm a BIG Sonic fan but there's something about Sonic Generations that just feels like they rushed it and didn't give it the attention it deserves.

There's also art to look at and descriptions of the main characters but this again was very annoying as I expected there to be some information or at least a picture of what classic Amy used to look like she had spikes like Sonic and wasn't as girly looking as today but they only showed the modern Amy which I'm annoyed at as this is an anniversary game and they couldn't have included some info on how the Sonic games changed over the years.
